Hotel 41 formed part of the grounds and stabling of a much earlier house on this site, which in 1703 was owned by John Sheffield, Earl of Mulgrave, also known as ‘Lord Allpride’.
We are proud to be a part of the family-owned and run Red Carnation Hotel Collection and we strive to create enriching and unforgettable experiences for our guests. That’s why they choose to stay with us again and again – and why we have been voted TripAdvisor’s number one hotel in the UK for ten consecutive years, as well as being awarded a Forbes Five Star.
Led by Resident Manager Lauren Hargrave, Hotel 41 is a family of dedicated people, who are passionate about everything we do. Every team member is empowered to make a difference, offering a truly considerate attention to detail. Whether it’s a welcome glass of Champagne, a personalised gift or a romantic candlelit turndown - we go above and beyond to ensure every stay is exceptional.
From the discrete front entrance door that leads to a stylish marble-floored lobby, imbued with the subtle fragrance of Hotel 41’s own signature scent, to the warm, smiling staff that greet guests and encourage them to relax on the sumptuous leather-bound armchair with a glass of Champagne before checking in – everything about the hotel says elegance and private exclusivity.
Enjoy unequalled luxury and personal service in our rooms.
Every one of our suites are individually designed while sharing eclectic black and white touches, Savoir beds, unique artworks & always with our guests’ comfort front of mind.
"Hotel 41 was the original Grand Ballroom of The Rubens Hotel, popular with debutantes and others associated with Buckingham Palace. I have been the General Manager here for nearly 20 years and, as a team, we are so proud to hold the prestigious Forbes Five-Star rating. We have also been recognised on Tripadvisor as the number one hotel in the UK for more than a decade.
A chic, monochrome design runs throughout the hotel, complemented by mahogany-lined walls and smart leather furniture. Our residents-only Executive Lounge is the beating heart of Hotel 41, and we invite guests to relax here in an oasis of calm. Our charming and thoughtful staff work to your timetable and are always on hand to assist you.
Indulge throughout the day with delicious complimentary snacks and our unique 'Plunder the Pantry' concept in the evening. Try our honesty bar or simply allow our wonderful team to prepare your favourite drinks, served with the generous hospitality for which we are renowned. I would certainly suggest enjoying our Rooftop Bar when open on a warm day, and ‘press for Sabrage’ to learn the ceremonial technique of opening a bottle of Champagne with a sabre.
41 is a very special hotel and one that I feel honoured to be at the helm of. We look forward to welcoming you to our hidden sanctuary overlooking the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace very soon."
- Malcolm Hendry, General Manager
